The episode starts off with Rukia buying a temporary soul from Urahara’s store. This temporary soul is for Ichigo to use when she is not around and he needs to fight a Hollow.
What Rukia does not know is that the item she bought isn’t a normal temporary soul. The soul is a modified soul with special powers created by the Soul Society. When this modified soul takes Ichigo’s place it decides to have fun in Ichigo’s body.
As the Soul is running around the city he finds some kids ditching class and playing games. One the kids says something that anger’s the soul and the soul attacks but Ichigo appears at the last second and is ready to fight the Soul for his body back.
