The episode begins with Uryû releasing Hollow bait, which attracts Hollows to the city. Ichigo tells Kon to go protect his family. Ichigo looking for Rukia and his Family keeps killing Hollows as they attack him. Across town Chad is hanging out with his friends when a Hollow, called Bulbous G, appears.
As Chad runs away from the Hollow he runs into Karin and her friends. Since Karin can see the Bulbous G see helps Chad run from him. But the Hollow attacks and knocks Chad down the Bulbous then is ready to attack Karin and her friends.
Chad then Stands up and remembers the promise to his grandfather to protect anyone smaller than him He then attacks the Hollow and this awakes his hidden Powers which is a huge black arm with a rep strip going down it. Chad then punches Bulbous again and kills it then falls on the ground while Karen goes to get him help.
Meanwhile Chad is being pursued by a Hollow because he has spiritual powers. He runs into Ichigo’s sister Karin and must protect her and her friends from the Hollow with his powerful right arm.
