Izuru Kira
Vice Captain of the 3rd Division

Back Story: His past suggest that he is part of some nobility and that his parents have passed away. When he entered the Soul Reaper Academy; Himself, Renji and Momo were top of the class and by now good friends. After graduation they were all placed into the 5th Division under Sousuke. Renji was quickly taken out of the Division and placed into another Division. But Izuru and Momo stayed under Sousuke. Eventually Izuru was moved into the 3rd Division and became Vice Captain under Gin. It was unknown as to why the members were dropped from Sousuke but obvious now that Sousuke was looking for the most loyal.

Zanpaku-to:His Zanpaku-to is called Wabisuke and looks like a Katana. With the Initial release chant, "Show your face" the Zanpaku-to's blade will bend and turn into a hook and whatever Wabisuke hits will double it's weight.

Agent Of The Soul Reaper Series: No Information.

Soul Society: The Sneak Entry Series: As Rukia's execution drew nearer and nearer, Captain Sousuke was found dead one morning by Momo. Understanding Sousuke's words, Momo turned and attacked Gin, but with Izuru being on the scene he jumped in the way and blocked her attack to protect his Captain. He didn't want to hurt her as has been her friend for many years but has to stop her attack, but at point blank range she unleashed her Initial release causing Izuru to get serious and unleash his Initial release aswell. Just when he was about to clash, his attack was stopped by Captain Toushiro and Izuru was thrown in prison for attacking a fellow Soul Reaper and being a threat.

Soul Society: The Rescue Series: Being in prison, Izuru started having a mental breakdown. Suddenly, Captain Gin appears and makes a deal with Izuru. That he will break him out of prison if Izuru does what Gin says. Izuru not knowing what to do for himself, follows his Captains words. Izuru along with Captain Gin travel towards Center 46 but are found by Momo. But not long after Toushiro arrives and is claimed as the killer of Sousuke. Izuru stood back and watched as Toushiro knocked Momo out and attack Gin. Izuru didn't fight but was caught by Toushiro's Initial release as the ground was covered in ice. When Gin finished up and took his leave, Izuru went with him and continues on to Center 46 finding the lords of Center 46 completely wiped out and that Sousuke is alive acting as Center 46 secretly. Izuru is ordered to act as a distraction when Toushiro and Rangiku show up as Sousuke knew they would. When they finally alive, Izuru does so and runs away making them follow. But along the way Toushiro isn't fooled and turns back leaving Rangiku to deal with Izuru. Izuru unleashes his Initial release onto her and fights her revealing what Wabisuke's Initial release ability can actually do. Once Sousuke had revealed himself and Isane gave out the message, Izuru lay there defeated on his own in total shock now knowing that Momo has been left almost dead by Sousuke even though he said he wouldn't hurt her. Once Sousuke, Gin and Kaname left to Hueco Mundo and things had calmed down, Izuru went to find Rangiku; found her and apologized. Rangiku smiled and invited Izuru to have some Sake with her. Izuru and Rangiku got completely drunk and were friends once again.

!Anime Only! The Bount Series: In the Living World, the Bounts were starting to get out of hand and were starting to prove to much for Ichigo and his friends to handle. Ichigo was about to be finished off by the hands of Koga's Doll Dalk but just in time, Izuru arrives and helps fight. By using his Initial release, Izuru uses Wabisuke to clash with Dalk making her heavier and heavier soon rendering her unable to move. Using this time Izuru quickly moves to free Ichigo from Koga's attacks. Saving Ichigo, he takes him to Kisuke Urahara's shop to be healed by Hanataro who was waiting there. Determined to fight the Bount, Izuru finds a way to track them down and meets up with Shuhei and finds a deep cave which the Bount must of traveled through. Following through the cave, Izuru and Shuhei meet up with the Bount. Taking on the offense, they attack but are not enough and are left unconsious.
