Information: A clumsy and nervous person. Tends to be the main attraction for being pushed around. Even though he would not want to rise against anyone, he prefers to follow what he believes is right, even if the consequences are dire. Hanatarou as part of the 4th Division has excellent traits in Healing magic and carries with him almost all the time a bag full of Healing and Stamina boosting items.

Zanpaku-to: His Zanpaku-to is named Hisagomaru. With the Initial release call, "Forfill" Hisagomaru develops a strange technique. Initially in each attack swing, Hisagomaru will not do any damage but cure the oppositions wounds. But eventually Hisagomaru will unleash a big attack on the opponent. It's appearance is unknown.

Agent Of The Soul Reaper Series: No information.

Soul Society: The Sneak Entry Series: Hanataro was supposed to be in a healing squad but lost track of them. Finding a group of Soul Reapers he walked up to them to ask them about his group but clumsy as he is, he tripped into them. Hanataro shoved around was thrown in front of the group landing at Ichigo and Ganju's feet. Looking up at them he realised that they were the intruders,then taken hostage. Being used as bait he was threatened to be killed in front of group of Soul Reapers. But they didn't care and explained that Division 4 to them is nothing. Suddenly something blows through the wall giving Ichigo and Ganju the chance to break a way through, grabbing Hanataro they run to a closed hut nearby. As Ichigo and Ganju talked, Hanataro couldn't help but hear them talking about Rukia. He decided to help them and described his friendship with Rukia and also wanted to help her. Being their guide Hanataro led Ichigo and Ganju through the sewer system to the base of the Shrine Of Penitence where they met Renji. After Ichigo beat Renji, Hanataro healed Ichigo's wounds and they carried on. At the top they met Kenpachi. Ichigo told Ganju and Hanataro to carry on and get Rukia. Alongside Ganju, Hanataro helped him break into the Shrine Of Penitence. But after doing so, Byakuya appeared. Hanataro decided to take him on to give them time to escape, but Ganju took on Byakuya instead. After Ganju was easily beaten, Jushiro stepped onto the scene and alongside Byakuya witenessed Ichigo arriving to lend a hand.

Soul Society: The Rescue Series: Yoruichi had then suddenly appeared and took Ichigo away, Jushiro stopped Byakuya from taking out Hanataro. Jushiro called for Sentaro and Kiyone to take Rukia back into prison and to help Ganju who is severly wounded. Hanataro asked why Jushiro was helping them and recieved the answer that after Sousuke's death there the prime suspects and that Hanataro tried to save one of his Division members, and for that he wouldn't let him die. Jushiro has Hanataro taken back to the 4th Division headquarters where he explains that Hanataro was taken hostage and was forced to obey orders. Even so Hanatarou is put in prison, but is broken out by Rikichi who takes Hanataro to where Renji was lying near death after fighting Byakuya and asks him to heal Renji.

!Anime Only! The Bount Series: After the events of saving Rukia and the whole Sousuke event, Hanataro is granted permission from his Captain, Retsu, that he should travel to the Living world to relax. Upon being there he is thrown out of shops for using strange money and has a hard time finding places to stay and stuff to buy. To earn money he takes up a job in a 24hr corner shop. And meets Ganju who comes crashing down to the Living world to lend a helping hand against the Bount. Now knowing that the Bount have started attacking and causing damage, Hanataro goes to Kisuke Urahara's shop to help them with the injured.
