Isane Kotetsu
Vice Captain of the 4th Division

Information: Older sister of Kiyone Kotestsu of the 13th Division. She is very skilled in the Demon Arts and is able to telepathically talk to the whole of Soul Society at once. Retsu, her Captain looks after her and both of them share a strong friendship.

Zanpaku-to: Her Zanpaku-to Itegumo is still kept in secrecy but from what we know with her Initial release call "Dash", Itegumo's blade splits into a tri-bladed sword.

Soul Society: The Rescue Series:When the Sogyoku was destoryed by Ichigo, Syunsui and Jushiro, Retsu told Isane to go after Renji. But she was interupted by Ichigo and was taken out instantly as soon as she used her Initial release. When she woke up she was by Retsu's side and lying on top of Retsu's Initial release. She was taken to Division 4's headquarters and was given some medical treatment along side the others but her wounds weren't too bad. When she was good to go, she went with Retsu to Center 46 and met Sousuke who showed them his plans and revealed his true Initial release. Being spared from fighting, Isane was commanded to use her Kidô to link to everyone and tell them of the situation and about Sousuke. After Sousuke, Gin and Kaname escaped she tended to the injured with her fellow Healers.
