Byakuya Kuchiki
Captain of the 6th Division.

Back Story: Born into royality, he is the 28th leader of the Kuchiki noble family. To prove his noble upbringing he wears a Kenseikan, a head piece which his hair goes through. And the Silver White Windflower Silk scarf he wears around his neck. At a young age, Byakuya looked up to Jushiro who used to teach him and Byakuya used to play with Yoruichi in Flash Step tag, but could never beat her. When he grew up he married a Female from Rukongai called Hisana. Thus breaking the rules of his noble family for brining a commoner into the royal family. Byakuya loved Hisana very much but sadly about 50 years before Bleach started she passed away but before she did she gave Byakuya one final request. Locate her twin sister and look after her but do not tell her of her family. Rukia was this twin sister and was immediatly adopted into the Kuchiki Noble family thus breaking the rules again. From then on Byakuya swore never to oppose the law again and became a very strict man.

Zanpaku-to: Byakuya's Zanpaku-to is named Senbonzakura and resembles a Katana. His Initial release, "Scatter" causes Senbonzakura to burst into 1000 tiny blades disguised as Cherry Blossoms. His Final release chant, "Bankai, Senbonzakura Kageyoshi" makes Senbonzakura dissapear into the ground and re-emerge as 1000 long sowrds out of the ground which each then burst into a high amount of Cherry Blossom blade. It's believed that there is a total of 1,000,000 of the Cherry Blossom blades. Byakuya's Final Release unlike most of the other Soul Reaper's Final Release actually has 3 different versions which he can use. The three being: Senbonzakura Kageyoshi, Senkei Senbonzakura Kageyoshi and Hakuteiken.

Agent Of The Soul Reaper Series: Part of Shigekuni's order, it was his duty along with Renji to travel to travel to the Living World and capture Rukia. Finding her position it was unexpected to meet Ichigo aswell. Letting Renji fight him, he finally had to intervene easily beating Ichigo in one attack using his favourite technique, Senka. Leaving Ichigo for dead he took Rukia back to Soul Society.

Soul Society: The Sneak Entry Series: Upon seeing Renji's defeat from the intruder, Byakuya had Renji thrown in prison. Knowing that the intruders goal was the Shrine Of Penitence he made his way to the tower to find Ganju and Hanataro trying to break Rukia free. By order he unsheathed his Zanpaku-to and fought Ganju who decided to fight. Nothing but childs play, Byakuya unleashed Senbonzakura and cut Ganju to shreds. Now focusing his attention on Hanataro he was to deliver the blow but had his attack stopped by Jushiro who appeared on the scene. Questioning his actions he was then interupted by Ichigo who dropped in by Rukia's side. Recognising his face he was surprised to see him again. Making a quick attack like before, he was blocked. Accepting Ichigo had got stronger he was about to unleash Senbonzakura but stopped by Yoruichi.

Soul Society: The Rescue Series: Such a crude reunion after so many years. Yoruichi grabbed Ichigo and made a run for it. Not intending to let them escape he used consecutive Shunpôs to try and attack her but lost to her speed and lost track of them. Leaving Jushiro alone he walked away. Returning to his house he made a prayer infront of his deceased wife's picture asking if he is doing the right thing. After his moment alone he started to make his way to the Sogyoku. At the base of the Shrine Of Penitence he spotted Renji making his way to the Sogyoku in a hurry. Asking him of where he was going he was not happy with his response. Taking action he tried to swiftly take Renji out using Senka. Being blocked by his attack, Renji revealed his Final release against him. Being able to last a fair ammount of time against Renji's newly aquired Hihiou Zabimaru, he found a quick opening, nailed Renji down with a Bakuro Kidô spell and used his Final release Senbonzakura Kageyoshi on him completely destroying the surrounding area and shredding Renji to pieces. Astonished at Renji's determination, he blocked Renji's final attack smashing his Zanpaku-to. Leaving him for dead he left for the Sogyoku. Upon arrival he passed Rukia without saying a word and watched the show. But when Ichigo saved Rukia and with help destroyed the Sogyoku he knew what to do and made an attack on Ichigo. Using his Initial release, it was proving no match against Ichigo's new strength and his new attack Getsuga Tenshou. Knowing Final release is too much he still unleashed Senbonzakura Kageyoshi onto him and was able to out preform Ichigo bringing him to his knees. Surprised at how Ichigo got so strong so quickly he found it even more surprising that Ichigo spoke so easily of Final release and showed him his own. With the smoked cleared he saw his Final release and thought of it as a joke. But soon realised what it's true power was and had to get serious as any mistake could get himself killed. Byakuya was finding himself having trouble keeping up with Ichigo's newly aquired speed from his Final release and was just able to block something which could of been a fatal injury. Finally he understood and used his true Final release, Senkei Senbonzakura Kageyoshi to trap Ichigo within it. With so many options on attacks he started to slow Ichigo down and caught him. Moving in for the kill, Ichigo undertook a Hollow's mask and suddenly became so fast and powerful proving too much for Byakuya and finally met the recieving end of a large Getsuga Tenshou. Too exhuasted to carry on and seeing Ichigo had turned back to normal, he transformed his Final release into it's desperation form, Hakuteiken and in a large engulfing explosion of power the two of them clashed blades one more time. Standing there with enough fatal wounds he declared Ichigo the winner and explained to him of his actions against Rukia before making his leave. Learning of Sousuke's betrayel he quickly went back to the Sogyoku and made it in time to save Rukia from a killing attack. Cluching onto Rukia he used what power he had left to keep her safe. After the event he lay fatally wounded recieving medical attention from the 4th Division. He finally decided to tell Rukia of her heritage and why he had done the things he did. Explaining that his wife Hisana was Rukia's twin sister and pledged to Byakuya to keep her safe. Until he met Ichigo he didn't want to break the law of Soul Society thus why he was so cold to her, but finally decided to break the law and listen to his wife's words.

!Anime Only! The Bount Series: Knowing of the Bounts and that they were to break into Soul Society he was prepared. When it finally happened he tried to track them down. Noticing Rukia's Spiritual Energy decreasing he dashed to her location to find her about to take a final blow from the Bount Yoshino. Using his Initial release, he stopped her final attack and grabbed Rukia. His attack wasn't enough though and saw that Yoshino was still alive thanks to her Doll. Making her leave, Byakuya took Rukia back to his house with Ichigo and Orihime tagging along. Watching her rest he didn't want to tell Ichigo of her condidtion and still saw them as intruders. Telling them to go home he forced them out of his house. Doing one of favourite past times of taking walks at night he met Jin Kariya, the leader of the Bount. Knowing who he is he avoided formalities and began battle. Their speeds were matched and Byakuya avoided Jin's unusual Doll ability of controlling winds. Increasing the action, he unleased Senbonzakura but it proved no match for Jin's wind attacks as it was being blown away. Using Senbonzakura as a distraction he moved in for the attack but Jin did the same meeting in the middle. Both attacks stopped each other and they glared in each others eyes. Knowing it had to be done he broke away and used his Final release causing destruction and forcing Jin to push himself even harder. Soon Ichigo made his appearance and unleashed his Final release offering to help. Not agreeing he used Senbonzakura Kageyoshi to attack Jin and Ichigo at the same time and told him he is still an intruder and best to stay out of his way.

Hueco Mundo: Fight To Reclaim Series: Under Shigekuni's command, he and Kenpachi opened a portal into the Living World to escort Toushiro's group back to Soul Society. But upon taking the group back, Renji and Rukia asked to leave and meet up with Ichigo. Byakuya gave permission for them to dissobey Shigekuni and rush to Ichgio's aid but before they left, Byakuya gave Renji and Rukia large mantle cloaks to wear saying they offer protection.
