Vice Captain of the 8th Division

Information: A serious type of woman unlike her Captain Syunsui, she also is normally always seen with a book. Even though she has a temper, she is able to put up with Syunsui's sillyness and is seen as Syunsui's favourite girl. Though she can't put up with him too much, she will do whatever her Captain says as a Vice Captain should and respects his decisions.

Zanpaku-to: Nanao's Zanpaku-to has not been seen at all. It's unknown to where it actually is that she keeps it, though it's a possibility that the book Nanao is normally seen walking around with is her Zanpaku-to.

Agent Of The Soul Reaper Series: No information.

Soul Society: The Sneak Entry Series: Being with Syunsui while he was lounging around at the 8th Division headquarters, she was present when Yasutora came by. Helping Syunsui make his greeting to the intruder, she threw Cherry Blossom petals from above over Syunsui. But did not stop before dropping the entire basket over him covering him in petals. After Syunsui had to defeat Yasutora she noticed he was still alive and was intent on killing him herself but was stopped by Syunsui and told that Yasutora will be placed into prison for interrogation.

Soul Society: The Rescue Series: After Syunsui and Jushiro helped Ichigo destroy the Sogyoku, she left with them when they ran away from Shigekuni. Being alongside them when they were caught up, she intended to help Syunsui and Jushiro fight. But Shigekuni merely used his Spiritual Energy to pressurise Nanao to the group and send her into a panic. Before she lost it, Syunsui hugged her for comfort. Nanao was carried away using Shunpô to a different location and layed down so she could catch her breath. She apologized to Syunsui before falling unconsious.
