Syunsui Kyoraku
Captain of the 8th Division

Information: Unlike all the other Captains, Syunsui is a very laidback. Wearing a straw hat and a cloak with flowers all over it determines how un-serious he is. If he can avoid a fight, he will and can't really tolerate violence. He also liked flirting with the ladies especially his Vice Captain, Nanao Ise.

Back Story: Syunsui is very good friends with Jushiro as they attended Soul Reaper acedemy together and both studied under Commander Shigekuni. This suggests that Syusui though lazy and un interested is a very powerful Captain and when need be, he has skills far superior to the others. This also suggests that Jushiro and Syunsui are the oldest Captains in Soul Society next to Shigekuni.

Zanpaku-to: His Zanpaku-to is called Katen Kyokotsu and is actually two Daisho swords. His Initial release chant, "Flowers are disturbed, God of the flowers weeps, winds of Heaven are disturbed, Demon of Heaven laughs" turns his two Zanpaku-tos into two large Scimitars. Katen Kyokotsu and Jushiro's Sogyo No Kotowari Zanpaku-to are the only Zanpaku-tos in Soul Society which are in a pair. Katen Kyokotsu and Sogyo No Kotowari are considered the twins of Soul Society.

Agent Of The Soul Reaper Series: No information.

Soul Society: The Sneak Entry Series: Lounging around the 8th Division headquarters with Nanao, one of the intruders, Yasutora, headed in his direction. Doing his duty he confronted Yasutora but instead of fighting he offered him a drink. He explained that he did not want to fight and if by any chance he can convince Yasutora to turn around and leave. Sadly it was not the case and Syunsui just managed to dodge a quick attack by Yasutora. Sighing at the thought of fighting, he took out his Zanpaku-to and easily dodged a dangerous attack thrown by Yasutora and took him down with one swift attack. Stopping Nanao from fully killing Yasutora, he had him escorted to prison so that later he could be interrogated about Sousuke's death.

Soul Society: The Rescue Series: When the time had come for Rukia's execution and Ichigo arrived, Syunsui alongside Jushiro suddenly went into action and helped destroy the Sogyoku saving Rukia. Now having Shigekuni facing them, Syunsui grabbed Jushiro and took off with him aswell as Nanao. It didn't take long before Shigekuni caught up and confronted them again. Shigekuni firstly though, using only his Spiritual energy pressurised Nanao down, making her sweat and panic but Syunsui quickly grabbed her and hugged her telling her it's alright. Using Shunpô he took Nanao to a location near by and layed her to rest so she could catch her breath before going back to Jushiro. Knowing there was no way out, he watched Shigekuni unleash Ryujin Jakka, such immense power though he could still with stand it. At the same time, he and Jushiro unleashed their own Initial releases and the battle was ready. Syunsui, Jushiro and Shigekuni clashed blades causing a giant explosion. Later, they recieved word of Sousuke's betrayel, and Syunsui told Shigekuni that it's now pointless to carry on and if they should go back. They stopped the fight and all traveled back to the Sogyoku. But were unfortunate as they couldn't stop Sousuke, Gin and Kaname from leaving to Hueco Mundo.

!Anime Only! The Bount Series: As the Bount became more and more known to them. Syunsui decided to take a trip to the Research institute to hopefully find some useful data on the Bount. Arrived, he found Mayuri there who forbid him from seeing any data. Syunsui takes his leave but without leaving an insult. Eventually, Mayuri decides to give up the information and tells Syunsui, Jushiro and Toushiro the data he has on the Bounts and their relation to the Quincy.
