Toushiro Hitsugaya
Captain of the 10th Division

Back Story: The youngest Captain out of all 13. And is actually the youngest ever to achieve Captain status. Born in Rukongai district 1 and lived with Momo Hinamori. When they both decided to take the Soul Reaper graduation together, Momo passed first but shortly afterwards due to Toushiro's surpising power and talent he passed aswell. Toushiro quickly gained attention and achieved his Initial release pretty quickly. Having known Momo for all his life, he is very good friends with her and protects her even thoguh she is older. After more graduation, Toushiro became known as a boy genius and achieved Captain status of Division 10.

Zanpaku-to: His Zanpaku-to is named Hyourinmaru resembling a Katana. Calling out, "Sit upon the frozen heavens" for his Initial release will make a large iced dragon appear when Toushirou swings Hyourinmaru. His Final release, "Bankai, Daiguren Hyourinmaru" will make parts of Toushiro's body be enveloped by ice and make Toushiro's swings much more powerful and deadly.

Soul Society: The Sneak Entry Series: No information.

Soul Society: The Sneak Entry Series: Finishing in a meeting with the other Captains, he noticed that Sousuke was warning Gin about his actions and Gin replying with a cocky attitude. Toushiro, like Sousuke was being aware of Gin's actions. After the intruders entered the Court Of Pure Souls, he found out that Renji had been defeated. Having found Momo he told her to be careful of Gin and not to talk to him. The day after he heard Momo scream nearby and quickly rushing to her aid he found Momo and Izuru fighting each other using their Initial releases. Stepping in, he blocked their attacks and ordered they be taken to prison. Seeing Sousuke dead on the wall and Gin smiling, Toushiro warned him that he is watching and if Momo ever sheds a drop of blood, he will kill Gin. Taking a time out in his office with Rangiku he recieved word that Renji, Izuru and Momo had broke out of their cells. Knowing that Gin must of had some sort of hand in this he went looking for him.

Soul Society: The Rescue Series: At night, he found Gin with Izuru. Grabbing his Zanpaku-to he told him he knew Gin was behind this and that before Momo arrived, he will kill him. Suddenly Momo arrived saying she finally found him, walking towards Gin she turned around to face Toushiro and pointed her Zanpaku-to at him. She told him that the letter she has from Sousuke states that Toushiro is the murderer. Shocked at what he heard he was now being attacked by his friend. She was completely serious and had every intention to kill Toushiro, not wanting to hurt her he knocked her out. Knowing that the letter had to have been forged by someone who spent alot of time with Sousuke, other than Momo it had to have been Gin. Taking his Zanpaku-to he raised his power in agression and unleashed his Initial release while Gin grabbed his Zanpaku-to and smiled. Gin told Izuru to move back otherwise he will die. Toushiro jumped in the air and threw a giant ice dragon completely freezing the area as it crashed down. Gin managed to dodge the attack but found Toushiro come in from the side firing another, freezing Gin's arm and wrapping a chain around it. Gin actually had to open his eyes to get serious and revealed his Initial release in Toushiro's face, which he managed to dodge but saw that his real intention was Momo. Not going to make it in time, luckily Rangiku jumped in to block it. Gin told Toushiro to take care of Momo rather than fight him before using Shunpô and vanished. Toushiro escorted Momo to another cell and locked it using Kidô. Toushiro tried to understand what Gin is up to and noticed that somethingh funny was going on. Learning that Momo once again broke out of prison using her Kidô. Toushiro and Rangiku went to Center 46 to talk to the judges. When they got there, the place was locked down. Managing to gain access they found all of Center 46 decimated. In complete shock they saw Izuru walk by and take off. Quickly chasing after him, Toushiro noticed that something is wrong and left Rangiku to chase while he went back. Getting back, he found Sousuke and Gin. Amazed to see Sousuke alive, he was even more amazed he was working with Gin. Listening to his words, he heard that Momo was in danger. Toushiro dashed past Sousuke to find Momo, practically dead. Asking why he did such a thing, from hearing him say that she was a loss needed, Toushiro went crazy and immediatly unleashed his Final release onto Sousuke. But in a flash, Toushiro was taken out with one attack and collapsed. He and Momo were luckily saved by Retsu. After recooperating and knowing of Sousuke's betrayel he tried his best to keep Momo relaxed and comforted her.

!Anime Only! The Bount Series: With Syunsui and Jushiro, they were told about the relations that the Bount and Quincy held by Mayuri. After the Bount infiltrated Soul Society, Toushiro was placed as the leader of capturing the intruders. As Toushiro searches for the Bount he doesn't realise that the ex-Soul Reaper Maki awaits for him in the forest.

Arrancar Influx Series: To help fight against the Arrancar, Shigekuni placed Toushiro as leader of a team of his choice and meet up with Ichigo to aid him. Choosing Rangiku, Renji, Ikkaku, Yumichika and Rukia as his team they took to Karakura Town and marched to Ichigo's school barging into his classroom. Meeting up with him again at his home in his bedroom they described the situation. Before long six Arrancar broke through into Karakura Town. Taking action instantly, Toushiro became a Soul Reaper and quickly went to fight them. Meeting up with his opponent, Qu Fong Shawlong he unleashed his Final release straight into the fight. Unfortunatly his Final release was proving no match and Toushiro was being tossed around like it was nothing. Recieveing injuries, his opponent Qu Fong had noticed Toushiro's limitations to his Final release. Just toying with him until Toushiro's Final release would dissapear he was surprised to see Toushiro use a quick sneak attack from behind. Qu Fong, to show a kind side showed Toushiro what an Arrancar's Initial release looks like before Toushiro's demise and told him his name. After releasing, Qu Fong made a brutal attack completely cutting Toushiro up. Toushiro, bleeding intensly suddenly recieved a message from Rangiku that they are allowed to break their limits. In an instant, Toushiro broke the seal compressing his power and incredibly raised it to his maximum potential. Telling Qu Fong that he was ordered to be surpressed, now he can fight at full power and showed just how strong he really is keeping Qu Fong on his toes. Knowing he was no match, he shouted an urgent retreat to his fellow Arrancar and fled the fight as quickly as he could, sadly to his knowledge Toushiro had no intention of letting him go and revealing a new attack, Ryusenka, Qu Fong was frozen and shattered into the sky.

To Become A Vaizard Series: Fully recooperated from his earlier fight, he was ordered to stay in the Living World for a little while longer just to make sure things calmed down. Suddenly the Arrancar appeared once more, Toushiro choked at such a re-appearance so early meant trouble. As Toushiro, Ikkaku, Yumichika and Rangiku were already together and at the spot of the Arrancar's entrance, they quickly entered the fight. Using his Initial release Toushiro was hoping to take out the biggest Arrancar, Yammy but it was easily shrugged off. Just then a new comer, Luppi spoke out and said he could take on all four of them at once. Not letting Luppi have the chance he flew at Luppi activating his Final release. But just as he got there Luppi activated his Initial release making himself transform to have eight tentacles and pushed Toushiro back. Claiming that he had upgraded the difficulty by eight fold, Luppi focused all eight tentacles on Toushiro at once blowing him out of the sky. Thinking he was dead, Luppi focused his attention on the others. Going for a fatal attack on Ikkaku, Yumichika and Rangiku, his tentacles were suddenly frozen solid. Luppi turned to see Toushiro unharmed. Toushiro made the remark of that seeing as Luppi claimed that his tentacles are his weapons, that means the whole atmosphere is Toushiro's weapon. Luppi glanced around to see himself and Toushiro surrounded by giant ice shards. And by using another new technique, Sennen Koorirou, Toushirou crushed Luppi using the dozens of ice shards floating in the sky and said that sadly eight tentacles just wasn't enough. Just after, the Arrancar were summounded back to Hueco Mundo because their duty had succeeded and Luppi emerged from the frozen encavement. Wounded, Luppi said that next time they meet, he will surely kill Toushiro.

Hueco Mundo: Fight To Reclaim Series: Next day Toushiro entered Ichigo's room and told him to meet up with the others. Toushiro, Ichigo, Renji, Ikkaku, Yumichika, Rangiku and Rukia were all informed by Shigekuni that Orihime had vanished and dissapeared with the Arrancar and now classed as a traitor. They were all ordered not to follow and ordered to return to Soul Society. Byakuya and Kenpachi opened the gate between worlds and Toushiro and his party went back through to Soul Society leaving Ichigo on his own.
