Ikkaku Madarame
3rd Seat of the 11th Division

Information: Strong and violent. His power and skills are that of a Vice Captain, and even a Captain level. He finds great honour being in the 11th Division and never wants to part ways with the group. Considering Ikkaku's bald head he is taken the fun out of by many especially Yachiru. As being so concious about his baldness he will raise his sword against any who pick it out. Ikkaku doesn't really follow the laws of Soul Society and only follows Kenpachi's orders. If those orders were to go against Soul Society, Ikkaku would do it for the sheer fun and experience of it. Ikkaku is also the one who taught Renji a thing or two about fighting when the two of them met in the 11th Division and became training buddies before Renji was placed into the 6th Division.

Back Story: As with most Soul Reapers, Ikkaku was born in Rukongai and met Yumichika and the two became close friends. Through some point in his life he crossed paths with Kenpachi Zaraki and Yachiru Kusajishi and fought with him. Kenpachi, as the crazy warrior he is was able to beat Ikkaku and left him near death, Ikkaku screamed why was he not killed but Kenpachi claimed that if he had killed Ikkaku then the chances of fighting him again would never happen. From then on, Ikkaku looked up to Kenpachi and admired him. Serving under him, Ikkaku finally managed to become a Soul Reaper under Kenpachi's command. To this day he finds great honour in being in Kenpachi's Division and will not leave.

Zanpaku-to: His Zanpaku-to is called Hoozukimaru. It's regular state is that of a Katana except that the end of the handle is a compartment which holds some substance which is used to seal cuts from bleeding. With the Initial release chant of "Growl", Hoozukimaru transforms into a long staff with a blade at the end. Then with the command "Split", Hoozukimaru will split into three sections revealing it as a tri-part staff. His Final release, "Bankai Ryumon Hoozukimaru" transforms Hoozukimaru into a massive three sword attack, each blade different, one a Dadao, one a Monk spade and one that resembles a Halberd blade. Ikkaku holds two of the gigantic blades while one sits above his back. This proves of Ikkaku's strength as he can hold these three blades with ease. Being able to achieve Final release, he was asked to be a Captain but he stated that he wants to stay under Kenpachi and that he does not want Kenpachi to know that Ikkaku knows Final release.

Agent Of The Soul Reaper Series: No information.

Soul Society: The Sneak Entry Series: Ikkaku was the first along with Yumichika to find the intruders when they broke into the Court Of Pure Souls. Claiming it a lucky break he began battle with Ichigo, while Ganju ran away but Yumichika took off after him. Ikkaku was immpressed with Ichigo's speed and complimented on his blocking skills. As the fight raged on, Ichigo was getting used to Ikkaku's fighting style and was able to land a clean hit. Ikkaku asked of Ichigo's trainer and recieved the answer of Kisuke, the former 12th Division Captain years back. Not wanting to dissapoint Kisuke's student, he used his Initial release to gain the extra range and kept Ichigo on the defense. Waiting for the correct moment, Ikkaku surprised Ichigo by splitting Hoozukimaru into it's tri-part staff form managing to damage Ichigo's arm. Ikkaku's boasting was soon caught short as Ichigo was managing to block Ikkaku's attacks breaking his Zanpaku-to. Knowing it's nothing but a lucky break, Ikkaku dived for the attack but without time to react his Zanpaku-to was broken in half and his arm and shoulder bursted ito blood. Cursing, he collapsed to the ground passing out. When he awoke he saw Ichigo sitting next to him and found his body wrapped in bandage. Understanding that Ichigo helped him out so he can answer some questions, he did so without argument. He told Ichigo where to find Rukia and about Kenpachi, a Captain he should look out for. After Ichigo left, Ikkaku was found and taken in for treatment. It wasn't long before Mayuri came in to gain information. Ikkaku ignored Mayuri's questions and refused to tell a thing. Mayuri was about to kill Ikkaku for his disobedience but Kenpachi stopped him and told him to leave. With Mayuri gone, Ikkaku told Kenpachi of how strong Ichigo is and where he can be found.

Soul Society: The Rescue Series: After Kenpachi and Ichigo had fought, Ikkaku met Kenpachi at the 11th Division headquarters where he found Makizou had brought in Orihime. Ikkaku with Kenpachi, helped Orihime help her friends and find Ichigo. But soon enough there little group was found by Sajin and Kaname with their Vice Captains, Tetsuzaemon and Shuhei. Wanting to fight aswell, Ikkaku took off with Tetsuzaemon and they fought. The fight seemed non serious as they kept taking breaks and sharing Sake with each other but were not going to stop until atleast one of them fell. After the events of Sousuke leaving for Hueco Mundo, Ikkaku was sparing in the 11th Division dojo and easily taking out any participents. With no one wanting to fight, Ichigo decided to step in. Quite quickly they both annoyed each other and swung there wooden swords. But then Kenpachi entered and was happy to see Ichigo's wounds healed and chased him out of the dojo wanting a rematch.

Arrancar Influx Series: Ikkaku was chosen part of Toushiro's team against the Arrancar and joined them in their trip to Karakura town to find Ichigo at his school. Ikkaku didn't take kindly to the students picking out his delinquent look and bald head and if it wasn't for the others, Ikkaku would of unleashed fury. Meeting Ichigo again at his house they explained the situation with him. Ikkaku and Yumichika decided to wander around and explore the sights and check the surroundings. But when the Arrancar broke through to Karakura Town, one found Ikkaku first. Ikkaku began fighting Edorad and used both his Zanpaku-to and sheath to block and fight against Edorad's attacks even managing to confuse Edorad by being able to swith which hand he fights with with his Zanpaku-to. Edorad, wanting to break Ikkaku apart revealed his Initial release, surprising Ikkaku and without much thought Ikkaku was smashed to pieces by Edorad's new amazing power. Ikkaku was no match and was just recieving blow after blow from Edorad's crushing blows. Finally managing to get an opening, Ikkaku unleashed his Initial release but it was easily tossed aside and Ikkaku remained being crushed into the ground. Managing to arise, Ikkaku unleashed his Final release and showed his massive new Zanpaku-to. Boasting about what he can now achieve, Ikkaku became relentless and was managing to cut through Edorad's Initial release by force. Ikkaku finally obtained maximum power from his Final release and they both clashed in an explosion. After the smoke cleared, Ikkaku looked down at his hand finding his Zanpaku-to in pieces. Closing his eyes, he plummeted down to the earth below. Edorad looked back and smiled, it revealed that Edorad's body was practically sliced in half and he fell to the ground, dead. Ikkaku awoke and gave Yumichika the thumbs up. Keigo, who was watching the battle, decided to take Ikkaku and Yumichika to his house, knowing his sister won't be happy. At his house, Mizuho didn't mind Ikkaku and Yumichika staying over and told Keigo she has a thing for bald men.

To Become A Vaizard Series: Managed to finally heal and his Zanpaku-to restored Ikkaku was ready to fight the Arrancar that appeared once more. At the time, Ikkaku, Yumichika, Toushiro and Rangiku were all together at the place the Arrancar entered. Ikkaku and Yumichika fought Luppi but didn't manage to beat him down. Luppi, boasting about his power used his Initial release to take on all four of them at once. Ikkaku, Yumichika and Rangiku were easily being beaten by Luppi's newly gained tentacles and were caught, ready to recieve a fatal blow. Luckily, Toushiro, who was thought to be taken out, saved the group from Luppi by using an ability of his Final release. When the Arrancar were summoned back to Hueco Mundo, Ikkaku saw Luppi break from Toushiro's attack and told him of his revenge.

Hueco Mundo: Fight To Reclaim Series: Ikkaku alongside the rest of the group was told of Orihime going to Hueco Mundo and effectivly a traitor. Ikkaku with the others was ordered back into Soul Society and not to go after Orihime.
