Gin Ichimaru
Former Captain of the 3rd Division.

2nd in command of the Arrancar.

Information: A very mysterious and shifty character. Someone who has a difficult time in gaining any trust and seen as a threat. Never seems to take anything seriously and owns a cocky attitude.

Back Story: When Gin graduated and became a Death God he was placed into the 5th Division as Vice Captain under Captain Sousuke Aizen. Vice Captain, Rangiku Matsumoto is one of the few people who care for Gin as he once saved her life. From then on Rangiku tried to get close to Gin to know more about him, but Gin kept himself to himself. Gradually over time and as he learned many new techniques from Sousuke, he became Captain of his own Division. Even now as Captain he still shares a strong friendship with Sousuke and doesn't care much for his own Division. His Vice Captain is Izuru Kira. Before the series started when Sousuke placed all of the Court Of Pure Souls under hypnosis, Gin was part of Sousuke's team and was not part of the hypnosis meaning throughout the series Gin had to act like nothing was happening and everything was real.

Zanpaku-to: Gin's Zanpaku-to is called Shinsou and resembles a Wakizashi sword. His Initial release is triggered by the call "Shoot to kill" and causes Shinsou to extend and attack from a long distance.

Agent Of The Soul Reaper Series: No information.

Soul Society: The Sneak Entry Series: Gin was first seen approaching the West gate which Jidanbou had opened to allow Ichigo and others to gain access to the Court Of Pure Souls after his defeat. Gin not allowing such acts with ease sliced off one of Jidanbou's huge arms. Still seeing Jidanbou was holding the heavy gate with just one arm, Gin was about to finish him off but Ichigo stopped him. Being taken on by Ichigo, Gin simply used his Initial release to push Ichigo and his friends aswell as Jidanbou outside the Court Of Pure Souls back into Rukongai. As the gate closed he waved a farewell and dissapeared behind the wall. After the event a Captain meeting was called by Shigekuni. He explained to them about the intruders and gave Gin an official warning. Shigekuni was disspleased that Gin failed to kill the intruders when he had the chance and that his cocky attitute will only get him so far. After the meeting, Sousuke confronted Gin warning him that he's got his eyes on him and not to cross the line, though this was all an act. Upon the intruders gaining access to the Court Of Pure Souls and Renji's defeat, Gin with Izuru offered a helping hand in finding Renji some medical assisstance and made his leave. The next morning Gin heard a scream and made his way to the scene to find Vice Captains gathered around Sousuke's body dead hanging on a building which Gin knew was a fake. Entering with a sarcasm, Momo turned around in tears and made an attack on Gin. Gin stood awaiting the attack but Izuru blocked Momo. Gin allowed Izuru to fight Momo before Toushiro appeared stopping the fight and placing them under arrest. Having Izuru and Momo taken to prison, Gin was given yet another warning but from Toushiro this time saying that if he makes Momo shed one drop of blood, he would be killed. Gin simply made a cocky remark and walked off.

Soul Society: The Rescue Series: Making his way to Izuru's cell he found him in a state of mental drama. Offering him a a hand to break out if he follows his orders, Gin broke Izuru out of prison. Taking Izuru with him to Center 46, Gin was caught up by Momo wanting to talk to him. But not long after Toushiro arrived. Gin stood back as Momo attacked Toushiro thinking he was the killer of Sousuke but was knocked out. Toushior knew that the letter of Sousuke's will must of been forged by someone who has known him for a long time which has to be Gin and due to Momo spilling blood from being so upset Toushiro drew his Zanpaku-to onto Gin. Gin just smiled and also drew his Zanpaku-to. Watching Toushiro dash into the sky and unleash his Initial release, Gin quickly moved to dodge the attack but was quickly caught by another. Now facing a critical situation, Gin actually had to get serious and opened his eyes and released his Initial release point blank onto Toushiro but missed him aiming for Momo. But before it could reach Momo, Rangiku stopped the attack. Gin told them to tend to Momo before taking Izuru with him and making his leave. Arriving at Center 46 Gin showed Izuru what was happening and the details of the situation and also gave him a command to act as a decoy when Toushiro and Rangiku would most likely arrive. Inevitably Toushiro and Rangiku did arrive and Izuru did what he was told. Gin waited inside with Sousuke and was surprised when Momo turned up. Gin met with Momo and took her to Sousuke where she was critically put near death by him. Gin and Sousuke knew the time had come and they started their way to the Sogyoku but were confronted by Toushiro. Sousuke attended to the matter and they were then confronted by Retsu and Isane. Not wanting to fight them, Sousuke explained the whole situation to them and about the hypnosis and then he and Gin passed them and went to the Sogyoku. Upon Sousuke defeating Ichigo and Renji and extracting the Orb Of Distortion from her body, Gin was ordered to kill her. Just when Gin was about to his was grabbed by Rangiku and held captive. Suddenly everyone appeared and held Gin, Sousuke and Kaname captive. But thanks to the Hollows they were rescued and lifted up to Hueco Mundo. But before Gin left he turned to face Rangiku and apologized to her.

Arrancar Influx Series: With the Arrancar returned to Hueco Mundo and Grimmjow being officially warned with his arm being taken off by Kaname. Gin was watching the entire time and told Sousuke that it was obvious that would happen to Grimmjow if he annoyed Kaname.

To Become A Vaizard Series: No information.
