Information: Kyoka Suigetsu does not change appearance at all after it's Initial release activation. It's whole aspect lies in it's ability.

Initial release: Abilities

Upon activation, Kyoka Suigetsu places a determined area through Sousuke's decision into a complete hypnosis effecting all their senses (touch, smell, taste, sight and hear). Sousuke obviously is not effected aswell as people whom Sousuke want to leave un-effected. Sousuke and any followers are then free to act independantly and play an act to fool those under his hypnosis. Those effected do not have any knowledge they are under a hypnosis and believe everything they do is a reality when it is not. The Hypnosis is dropped once Kyoka Suigetsu is released once again. Sousuke used Kyoka Suigetsu before the storyline began placing everyone in Soul Society under his Initial release and from then on, everyone believed Sousuke's Kyoka Suigetsu to be a water type and able to control mist and water and thought Sousuke was a good man when in true reality Sousuke had them under his Hypnosis and just played an act to fool them until Sousuke dropped the illusion 15 years into the story, revealing the real Kyoka Suigetsu and his true personality.
