Q: What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
A: Mint chocolate chip. Nothing else even comes close.
Q: If you could change something in DBZ, what would it be?
A: I'd make it go on forever.
Q: Do you like Chris Sabat?
A: NO. Can't stand him. He forces me to hang out with him.
Q: What is up with Tien and Chaoutsu? Are they, you know, "together"?
A: No. At least I don't think. I think they've got this "Big Brother" "Little Brother" thing going on.
Q: Since you overview the scripts, do you ever feel bias when it comes to the characters you play?
A: No. Of course, I want my characters to have cool lines. But I try to make sure all of the characters have cool lines (as much as possible). And I never try to force more lines for my characters into the shows than should be there.
Q: Who is your hero?
A: Hmm. From the world of fiction: Batman. I always wanted to be him when I was growing up.
Q: What would be a good way to get into voice acting at FUNimation if you don't really have that much voice acting experience?
A: Well, there's only one way. Come in and audition. If you want to get into voice acting, that's really the only thing you can do. Go out there and get some experience. Audition wherever you can.
Q: Is there a release date for Yu Yu Hakusho?
A: I think Spring of 2002 (DVD and VHS). Cartoon Network plans to air it sometime around then, too (if not before. I'm not sure)
Q: Do you like Star Wars? If so, are you looking forward to Episode 2?
A: You bet I'm looking forward to Episode 2! And the trailers look great! I can't wait!
Q: Why do you like Android 18?
A: She's a handful. She sure keeps Krillin in line, doesn't she? And let's not forget what she did to Hercule in the tournament...
Q: What do you like on your salad?
A: Croutons.
Q: Are you going to be touring with the DBZ Hummer?
A: No, it doesn't look like it. I think Sonny Strait (Krillin) got that job. Sounds like fun, though.
Q: Do you like Sailor Moon?
A: I must confess, I've only seen one episode. Not enough to form an opinion, I'm afraid.
Q: Are you a fan of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"? If so, who is your favorite character?
A: I was really into the first season. I haven't had time to keep up with it since. But to answer your question -- Buffy, of course.
Q: How far down the hall can you hear a voice actor in a fighting scene?
A: Miles. Miles and miles and miles.
Q: Which of the other voice actors do you hang out with the most?
A: That would be Mr. Sabat. But as I said, it's only because he makes me.
Q: Do you draw manga?
A: No. I can't draw to save my life.
Q: Do you have any nick names?
A: The guys in my band call me "Eugene". (We have two "John"s in the band.)
Q: What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
A: I don't think I can tell you that here. (he he he)
Q: Do any of the DBZ actors act like their character in real life?
A: Well, none of them go Super Saiyan. But the more energetic characters are basically played by fun, energetic people, if that's what you mean.
Q: Do you play the card game?
A: No. I tried it out once when it was in the development stage. They consulted with me a little bit about the power levels in the beginning. I haven't had the opportunity to try it out since.
Q: Do you know who the voice acter of Teen Gohan is?
A: Kyle Hebert. A really great guy, and a lot of fun to work with.
