The one who steps forward to fight is a small, red Spice Boy. He decides that he will take on Gohan, and a tall demon, with horns decides to take on Krillen. This leaves the other two of the Spice Boys watching. Gohan looks at Piccolo, unable to understand what is wrong with him. The red Spice Boy tells Gohan to attack, but when he doesn't, he does so himself. Gohan is caught out not concentrating, as he is slammed in the face, and knocked across Kami's lookout. Gohan stops skidding right on the edge, looking badly hurt. Krillen runs over to him to help, but the demon taking him on easily catches him up, and hits him in the face, knocking him to the floor.
In Karin's tower Marron is exercising, listening to a beat, and working hard. Yajirobe and Karin can't believe how much she wants to exercise. She tells them both that they could do with losing a bit of weight themselves, making them go bright red. She wants something to eat, so the two of them dash down to the kitchen to make some grub. Yajirobe tells Karin that he doesn't have a chance with her, as he fancies her, but Karin won't listen. He finishes making the food, and runs up the stairs to give it to his guest.
Back on Kami's lookout, Krillen is struggling badly. He tries to fight back, but his opponent is too fast (The demon with horns) and dodges every attack, before grabbing Krillen's face, and constantly slamming it off his knee. Krillen falls down, in massive amounts of pain. He struggles to his feet, able to see Gohan getting up too. Gohan is knocked right down though, then stamped on multiple times by the red guy. Gohan is hurt seriously now, and he is having major trouble getting up. He eventually makes it to his feet, staggering a bit, with his back to his opponent. the red guy fires up an energy blast, and shoots it at Gohan. Using incredible speed, Krillen gets in the way. The red guy is surprised by this, so he fires a multitude of shots at him, with such intensity that the bald guys clothes are ripped right off. As soon as the blasts finish, Krillen drops to the floor, telling Gohan to beat them all for him, Chi-Chi, and Piccolo. The Spice Boys make a big mistake by laughing at Gohan, and taunting him. This only frustrates, and angers him. After a short while, Gohan looks up to them, with a look of hatred in his eyes. The aura around him is absolutely huge as he slowly advances on his enemies. They know that they can't take him on individually, so they try to get their partner to go first, but in the end, they agree to double team. Forming a huge, purple ball of energy between them, they fire the blast at Gohan, with an enormous explosion occurring on impact. It fills the whole of Kami's beautiful lookout, leaving only a small spot behind Gohan, where Krillen lies. The bald-headed former monk looks up, and thinks that it is all over. As the smoke clears, a massive smile forms across his face. Gohan is in a blocking pose, breathing heavily. Gohan looks up, and floats into the air. Giving an angry shout, he fires down a Masenko at the red Spice Boy, killing him easily. He then turns to the Demon, and gives him a blast too, destroying him also. Gohan then powers up even further, and flies over to Garlic Jr. He charges up a Masenko, and is about to blast his enemy with it, when Garlic Jr pulls out a small glass container, with Kami trapped inside. Reluctantly, Gohan gets rid of his energy and stands down.
One of Garlic's minions offers to take on Gohan, and Spice tells him to save some, so that he can have a play. The Spice Boy walks forward, but Spice, the small groups leader, can't hold onto Piccolo any more, and accidentally lets go. The Namek walks forward, and stands face to face with Gohan. The kid looks up at his trainer and best friend, and powers down, looking helpless. Gohan says Piccolo's name, but is greeted only with a mammoth uppercut to the jaw, sending him back flipping onto the floor. Garlic Jr laughs, as do his followers, as Gohan hits the concrete slabs of Kami's lookout. He gets up, but doesn't want to fight his friend. He is clear that this isn't the real Piccolo though, as there is drool coming from his mouth, and evil purple eyes glinting in the sun. Piccolo gives off a little roar, and wraps his hands round Gohan's neck, preparing to choke him out. Despite Gohan's pleads, Piccolo continues to apply the pressure.
On another planet, Vegeta lands, and he is hard at work, putting all his energy into training to become a super saiyan. He lets off a great blast, which destroys the majority of the planet surface, as he wonders why he can't do what his arch rival 'Kakarot' did. After his blast had been fired, he sees rocks heading his way. After shielding himself from the first few, he senses a huge power, and sees another planet, where the rocks are coming from. He quickly flies over, thinking that Goku is there. He sees a figure shooting rocks out of the planets atmosphere, with a golden aura around him. Vegeta assumes it must be Goku, due to the appearance and power level, so he swoops down to try to learn the secret from him. He is about to get there, when an absolutely epic rock appears. Vegeta has to come to a halt to be able to do anything about it, so he stops, and fires a KI blast, destroying the rock easily. He then flies down to the ground where he thought Goku was, but he had gone. Vegeta seems to realize something though, and claims that he will soon be a super saiyan, as he now knows the secret.
Piccolo relentlessly continues the punishment on Gohan, using his superior speed to get the better of the kid. The Namek keeps on putting a beating on Gohan by using kicks, punches and axehandle smashes. Gohan is attacked to such an extent that he is unable to block properly anymore, as he gets thrown around the place. Krillen is somehow getting up, covered in bruises, and he quickly runs up to a pillar, and hides behind it, as Garlic Jr patiently watches the fight. Krillen sees the bottle with Kami in, and makes a run to try to get it, but Garlic Jr is protected by some kind of force field, which sends Krillen flying back, holding his body. Garlic laughs at Krillen's futile efforts and walks towards him. He holds out his hand to blast him, and starts to build up energy as Krillen struggles to his feet.
